Hippos, Friend or Foe?

Recently, a lot of people have been talking about the hippopotamus. Claims are being made that the hippo is “serene”, and “beautiful”. Let me make one thing abundantly clear. The hippo is a cold blooded killer.

They are extremely defensive of both their territory and their youth. Despite their cute appearance, hippos are responsible for over 500 deaths each year. With top speeds of over 19 miles per hour, they can easily chase down the average human, and devour him with massive teeth.

There is no place to hide from the hippo’s reign of terror. Able to hold their breath for over 10 minutes, hippos can hide underwater, and then attack unsuspecting victims.

There is a reason the popular children’s game was named “Hungry Hungry Hippos”. Hippos are always hungry, dangerous, and a threat to humans everywhere.
