Here is the latest forecast for your mid-June update.
A weak disturbance near the area has triggered a few spotty showers. This has also helped to keep the temperatures down into the low 80s for today due to increased cloud cover. The front stalled just to our south will lift back north as a warm front for tomorrow, putting the area in the warm sector. A cold front will approach from the west and act as a trigger to spark some scattered strong to severe thunderstorms for tomorrow afternoon and evening. Temperatures will hover in the low to mid 80s for tomorrow. It will probably be a mostly cloudy day tomorrow with showers in the morning possible. Otherwise, the wet weather will occur later in the day. High pressure offshore combined with a southerly fetch of Gulf moisture will help create a moist environment conducive to thunderstorm development. After the front clears the area late in the evening tomorrow, heat returns for the end of the week. A large area of high pressure will be building in the Central states and that area of heat will spread eastward. This will introduce the humidity back into the area for late week as well. High pressure gives way to another cold front on Sunday. Another chance of thunderstorms is possible over the latter half of Sunday. Stay tuned for the next update.
