4-8″ of snow today.

This is a final forecast on the upcoming weekend snowstorm starting early Saturday morning and ending Saturday night around 12 AM. I am thinking 4-8″ of snowfall is possible in our area with continued northern trends, however if this does not occur we will see 2-4″ snow amounts for our area. See figure below for the final forecast of this storm. I am thinking we will mostly see light snow with brief periods of moderate snow if we get into a heavier snow band. We are now under a winter storm warning for snowfall amounts of 4-7″ by tonight.

UPDATE—1/30/10, increased snowfall amounts forecast
