Discussion:
A weak storm system approaching from south, we can expect this to start as a brief period of ice depending on temperatures overnight and into the early morning hours on Sunday. Since the high pressure area is already offshore by that time the return flow from the backside of the high WILL allow for milder air to come in on southerly winds. This weak area of low pressure is fast moving and will clear the area by Sunday evening. Another area of high pressure builds in shortly and leaves by Monday night. A strong cold front will approach the area on Tuesday there will be a rather strong return flow as well since temperatures soar near 60 F before the rain showers and front come through once again due to high pressure offshore and the origin of the cold front. High pressure builds in after this front before moving out by next weekend. Details on a potential snow event next weekend will be revealed in the next post. Stay tuned.
