About 13″ of snow has fallen in most DC metro suburbs. The old record for a 12 hr snowfall event was set back in 1932 of 12″, we have just broken that record. Expect the snow to taper off soon and most locations in Montgomery County will have picked up between 12-24″. This marks one of the top 5 all time snowstorms. We may not have another big snowstorm until the new year.
Happy new year and holidays!
I don’t think there will be school on Monday due to the secondary and primary roads being untreated as well as parking lots.
This will also turn out to be one of the snowiest Decembers on record.
An addition 4-6″ can be expected as the snow winds down tonight. So we could end up anywhere from 12-24″.
