We have 7 fasts every year, two of which are 25 hours long. 11 year-olds do this. 12 hours at a time is nothing, even if it is for 30 days in a row. If you have a big meal in the morning, and a big meal the night before, you're not going to be that hungry until it's almost time to break your fast. And the main problem with the dehydration, which is a headache, can be solved with tylenol. I’m Jewish.
