Them Crooked Vultures is a band that has risen out of complete different spectrums of rock. The band, comprised of Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age, Kyuss) on guitar and vocals, John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin) on bass and keyboards, and Dave Grohl (Nirvana, Foo Fighters) on drums, has been able to release an album just months after they were revealed to the public. This album has its ups and downs, though some notable songs include the singles, New Fang, and Mind Eraser, No Chaser. This band has the hard rock feel that each of the members’ other bands are known for, but at the same time, you can definitely get a Southern rock vibe listening to New Fang. The problem I have with this album however, is that there isn’t a type of balance in the music that I enjoy, a balnce between good melodies and heavy, low riffs. I’m not saying this album is bad, it’s not, but in the end I’d probably give it a 3.5 – 4 out of 5.

“singing” isn’t an instrument, you should change that to “lead vocals”
