It’s been over a decade since Nirvana’s lead singer and guitarist, Kurt Cobain’s death, which subsequently ended the band. However, that does not mean they can’t release posthumous compilations and DVDs. Among those DVDs is Nirvana Live At Reading, which was filmed at the Reading Festival 1992. This performance has been hailed as argueably one of the band’s best shows. After seeing it myself I can’t deny this claim. The track listing has a wide variety: it features songs from their popular album, Nevermind, their Sub Pop debut, Bleach, the song Spank Tru from a 1986 demo, and a couple of tracks that would make it onto their next album, which would be released a year later.  It’s also entertaining to see what they say and do after songs, whether its bassist Krist Novoselic telling a cheesy joke to at the end with drummer Dave Grohl and Novoselic destroying their instruments while Cobain plays the national anthem on guitar. This is definitely a satisfying DVD for any Nirvana or grunge fan.
